I most definitely have a (very) soft spot for time pieces that convey the time of day in a way other than the usual. And recently (thanks to Andrew) found Tokyoflash, a website dedicated to showing the many fantastic and somewhat weird watches produced in Japan. Most of the cool ones are sold out, but there are still some really cool ones.
Like the one above, the Mugen by Futara Studio, for only US$56, I'm seriously considering buying one.
