Graphic Finger-wear

I'm by no means a jewelery designer, but I'm busy with this at the moment a quick project before a leave RSA to try my luck in London-town. I'm doing it more as a gift idea than anything else, I have yet to source the right kind of resin to seal them with though, but I should get my hands on that pretty soon.
Its quite funny actually I was at movies with a friend of mine and my girlfriend and we saw something similar at a shop for R300 (only way uglier), and I declared then that it was a total ripoff and than I could do that myself anyday. So here I am proving a point (If only to myself).

Moss Rings and Brooches

New Moss rings and Brooches by American jeweler Arthur Hash. Made from fake moss, and polyurethane, they look brilliant. What I found quite cool as well,( also though I'm not sure if it's because of the ambient light or not) is the slight green tinge to the otherwise medical white base of the rings and brooches. Orange

Ok I blame Denise of Freshly Found for my current addiction to orange, Its one of those obsessions that slowly you manage to get under control until someone (ahem) brings it to the fore again. Anyway I asked Denise if she'd mind me continuing from where she left off by posting some things (orange) that are super cool.
Above are really cool, scarab beetle room dividers by EggDesigns, a South African Industrial and Interior design company. The do some Brilliant stuff.

And I'm very lucky in that the new Alba by Furni Creations also happens to be orange, so I can add it to this post. I love every single clock that these guys produce, they're brilliant.

And heres a new find, via NotCouture (in a roundabout way) these marbled resin rings by Free People are really cool, very simple, but very cool.

I can think of a few more people that have either very cool orange (ahem, Skinny laMinx) tea-towels or other people who have a similar love of the colour (ahem, Orangebeautiful/The SCOOP).

"Bark" Wooden broach/pin

At last, all's coming together. Partly to celebrate my first half century in posts on this blog, and partly to celebrate my first official Etsy item.

Tokyoflash Watches

I most definitely have a (very) soft spot for time pieces that convey the time of day in a way other than the usual. And recently (thanks to Andrew) found Tokyoflash, a website dedicated to showing the many fantastic and somewhat weird watches produced in Japan. Most of the cool ones are sold out, but there are still some really cool ones.
Like the one above, the Mugen by Futara Studio, for only US$56, I'm seriously considering buying one.

Nooka Zen Watch

I'm not such a fan of their brightly coloured watches, but these are perfect, The Nooka Zen Horizontal.

Bark, Wooden Broach

This is currently one of my pet Works-In-Progress. I'm in the process of getting these pin/broaches laser cut out of wood, +- 6cm x 4.5cm, for my forth-coming Etsy shop. Feedback would be cool, but please forgive the image quality, these are just process drawings (so bare with me here). I'm hoping the final product will look killer.

LusterBunny Pins and Rings

I cant describe these rings/pins as anything other than cute and edible (well they look it anyway). These rings made by Etsy member Lusterbunny, are nothing short of brilliant. The pieces are made from glazed porcelain with the decals fired on at high temperatures in a kiln.
I'd buy the lot of them, if I could. via Etsy.

Angel D'Amico Accessories

AD LOVE "is clothing and accessories designed by Angel D'Amico that are hand screen printed and hand painted, or sewn, one of a kind unique items." I particularly like her button badges. All her stuff is available from Esty. Very cool.

Bright Vintage Bauble Ring

This super cool Bright Vintage Bauble Ring by Lindsay Luu is available from Etsy for only $6. I think its awesome, I'm not much of a jewelery wearer (at all) but this is on the verge of making me wish i was female (ok not quite), but it is brilliant. Discovered at MixedPlate Blog.
